Matrix42 is aiming for market leadership in Europe. In the first half of 2018, international revenues as well as the cloud and subscription business in particular have developed very positively. The company scores with integrated solutions in Unified Endpoint Management, Service Management, Software Asset Management and Endpoint Security and is pleased with a strong contract renewal rate of more than 99%.
Matrix42 successfully continues on its growth path in the first half of 2018. Therefore, the company is especially pleased about its international business success. "Never before in the history of the company have we generated so much revenue outside the DACH region. International sales are 160 % above target. This shows that our internationalization strategy is working. We are consistently pursuing our goal of becoming the market leader in workspace management in Europe. Therefore, we will be active in additional countries in the coming months", explains Oliver Bendig, CEO of Matrix42. In the first half of the year, Matrix42 started operations in Italy and Poland; further expansion in Eastern Europe is planned for the second half of the year. But the company is also successful in the DACH market. The Alps region (Switzerland and Austria) grew by 28 % compared to the same period last year.
Workspace Management Trend towards the Cloud continues
Across all markets, the cloud and subscription business in particular is developing more than positively. Compared with the first half of 2017, revenue in this area has increased fivefold. "It pays off that we provided our customers with appropriate subscription models early on. We want to continue to expand the cloud business in a targeted manner in the future without losing our roots in the on-premise business," says Bendig.
Integrated services increasingly popular
The increasing trend towards integrated solutions in the course of digitization also has a positive impact on the Matrix42 overall result. 62 % of sales in the first half of the year were generated by integrated solutions of Service Management and Unified Endpoint Management. Due to the strong demand for Service Management solutions, the consulting business at Matrix42 is also growing. In the first half of the year, consulting revenues increased by 21 %.
High demand for automated Endpoint Security
The Endpoint Security division at Matrix42 is also developing very positively - in the first half of the year, a growth of 58 % compared to the previous year was achieved. IT Service Management and Endpoint Security are becoming increasingly intertwined, as automated digital attacks require a highly automated digital defense. This is why companies are also looking for integrated solutions in the security sector. Through the acquisition of EgoSecure, the cooperation with SyncDoc and the strategic alliance with enSilo, Matrix42 is able to provide an expanded solution portfolio that enables 360-degree security for PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets and IoT devices. Bendig: "In the second half of the year, we will focus on further integrating endpoint security solutions into our portfolio and work on our full sales pipeline.
99 new customers in the first half year and 99.2% loyal existing customers
The quality software provider has acquired 99 new customers in the first six months of the year, including such well-known companies as Kelvion Holding GmbH and DWK in Germany, the canton of Basel Stadt in Switzerland, Fastweb in Italy and Würth in Austria. Particularly as the company is entering the next six months with a maintenance renewal rate of 99.2 % and a strong base of satisfied and loyal customers. Customers are increasingly coming from the industrial sector, where the demand for client automation and service management is very high due to the wave of digitalization, as well as from the public sector.
Partner sales are rising: Cloud and subscription business is also growing
The company's partners have made a significant contribution to the acquisition of new customers and the successful support of existing customers. The channel contributed 61 % of total sales. Matrix42 is thus steadily approaching its goal of generating 80 % of business with partners by 2020. Most recently, existing partners were joined by Concad AG and ujima in Germany, Trans4mation in Germany, and Fastweb and Dedalus in Italy, among others.
