Matrix42 Management Console Now With Integrated Data Security

The new connector package, which is now available free of charge to customers, allows you to automate security-relevant processes within the scope of service management.

Matrix42 is now offering a security-related product add-on for the Matrix42 Workspace Management console (UUX). The new connector package enables customers to automatically integrate and view security incidents from EgoSecure Data Protection and Automated Endpoint Security (powered by enSilo). As a result, security operations are now a supplementary component of service management.

Counter Cyber Attacks with New Management Console

The number of business devices is growing all the time. This increases the risk of cyber-attacks and sets higher demands in terms of security, especially in digital workplace management, which is associated with greater costs. Matrix42 helps neutralize this risk with its new connector package. It lets companies integrate all security incidents from EgoSecure Data Protection and Automated Endpoint Security (powered by enSilo) into the Matrix42 Workspace Management console and view them as well.

Integrated data security in service management offers IT departments many advantages made possible thanks to automated security-relevant processes. This includes, for example, the rollout of hard drive encryption via the service catalog, the introduction of USB flash drives (including access control and encryption), the approval of requests, as well as the automatic generation of incidents when malicious code is run. A separate incident referencing the master data can be created for each IT security event. This incident includes a description containing all relevant information and references, for example, users and assets. This way, it is possible to ensure the end-to-end traceability of every incident.

Automatic resolution of incidents

Common everyday incidents can also be automatically resolved. This includes incidents involving viruses, in which case the security system detects, blocks, and automatically eliminates them. It is alternatively possible to only block the virus and automatically reinstall the entire system overnight. All security processes are additionally run in the background, ensuring that the user is not disturbed and can continue to work. By default, the full array of data security features is available for every device and software app. This includes device and application management as well as data and device encryption. In addition, the improved integration of Matrix42 EgoSecure Data Protection and Service Management enables automated, end-to-end ticket processing.

“With Matrix42 Endpoint Security, data security is now an integral part of Matrix42 service and device management. After all, only a managed workplace is a secure workplace. The new connector package enables IT departments to minimize risks to their business, save time and money thanks to automated processes, and comply with GDPR regulations,” said Daniel Döring, Technical Director Security and Strategic Alliances at Matrix42.

Matrix42 has been honored for its security solutions in two categories in the ISG Provider Lens Report “Cyber Security 2019.”
