Matrix42 remains on course for growth in the first half of 2019: The specialist for Digital Workspace Management increased its sales by 15 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Matrix42 confirms high demand for integrated solutions
"We continue to see a high demand for integrated workspace management solutions worldwide. We are on the right track towards our goal of becoming the market leader in Digital Workspace Management," said Oliver Bendig, CEO of Matrix42. The figures support his statement: With a 24 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year, international sales have grown disproportionately (Germany: 6 percent / Austria and Switzerland: 22 percent). In addition to the strongest market, DACH, the Frankfurt-based company is establishing itself as an important player, especially in Italy and France, and intends to further expand its market share in the future.
Security solution is one of the strongest sales areas
Looking at the individual Matrix42 product segments, Integrated Workspace, Service and Software Asset Management with 35 percent, Unified Endpoint Management with 26 percent and Security with 17 percent were the top revenue earners. "Especially the sales development of our security solution is very pleasing for us", says Bendig. "We only acquired EgoSecure last year in order to offer our customers significant added value through integrated security solutions. This has been very well received by the market". The areas of IT service management and endpoint security are increasingly converging and innovative answers to ever new attacks are needed. Companies increasingly rely on integrated solutions such as those offered by Matrix42.
Matrix42 transforms the business model
Matrix42 is in the process of transforming its business model from classic purchase licenses with maintenance contracts to a Cloud & Subscription business model. "Due to the increased Cloud & Subscription demand from our customers, the Cloud & Subscription share was increased by 54% in the first half of 2019," said Bendig. "We are also very pleased with the growth rate of our Customer Service division (+ 14 %), especially due to the high demand for consulting and integration support for customer projects for local and cloud installations".
Matrix42 generates 70 percent of new business through partners
Matrix42 was able to generate the growth rates of its software business primarily through its excellent partner network: Approximately 70 percent of new business was realized via partners. "We are currently working very successfully with around 50 companies worldwide. In 2020, we want to increase the partner share with new and existing partners to over 80 percent," says Oliver Bendig. In doing so, Matrix42 is continuously expanding its network and has already been able to bring seven new partners on board in the first half of 2019 - an important step for even more presence in the market and further internationalization. An important element for partner acquisition is the Matrix42 Marketplace, through which Matrix42 partners can offer their own customizations or extensions of the Matrix42 product platform. Compared to the same period last year, the Marketplace achieved an increase of 11 %.
In addition to existing customers, the acquisition of new customers is an important driver for further growth for Matrix42. In the first half of 2019, new customer sales accounted for 49 % of license business and a total of 164 new customers were acquired, including the Krys Group, Metro, Samsung, Olymp, LLOYD, as well as Segula and Banca Popolare di Sondrino.
"The customers appreciate us because we always put them and their users at the center of our strategies - and this is reflected in their positive evaluation of our products and our support," says Bendig. "For us, it is an incentive to continue to work continuously on optimizing our products and services in the future."
