Quality of Life
From decades spent dealing with the subject of workspaces, we have also learned how important it is to have a supportive environment for everyday work. We set great store by the fact that our employees also feel good and are fulfilled by their jobs. As a result, we take special care to ensure, for example, that they are able to reconcile career and family. We also work to support diversity and to guide our actions through a binding set of values.
Across the globe, employees from over ten different cultural areas work for Matrix42, both at the head office in Frankfurt and at seven subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Australia, France and the U.S.
We are all united by a shared system of values based on four principles: integrity, respect, excellence, and responsibility. This code of conduct was rolled out in the summer of 2015 and signed by all employees as part of their employment contract. As part of our ‘Together we make a difference’ initiative, we work collaboratively to apply these principles in practice on a daily basis.
Because we are convinced that only companies that operate ethically and sustainably can remain successful in the long term, we joined the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest and most important initiative for responsible company management, in February 2013. The vision of the UN Global Compact is an inclusive and sustainable global economy based on ten universal principles, which we support with a great deal of dedication.
Compatibility of family and career
The harmonious integration of professional and private life is very important to us. We support the work/life balance through a variety of measures. For example, we offer our employees trust-based working hours, whether in the form of a home office, mobile work, or flexitime. Approximately ten percent of our employees work part-time.
Furthermore, in the summer of 2015 we joined the Initiative for Reconciling Work and Family Care. As a result, our employees now have access to two family care experts who can answer questions about family members in need of care, and about reconciling work and family care.
These and other initiatives allow us to ensure that our employees are able to balance family and career optimally. For our efforts, we were awarded the distinction of ‘A Great Place to Work’ in 2016.
