Matrix42 is a strong performer in UEM

Independent research recognizes that Matrix42 supplements its strong management capabilities with endpoint security

Matrix42 announced today that Forrester has recognized Matrix42 AG as a strong performer in the field of solutions providers for Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).  The Forrester Wave™: Unified Endpoint Management, Q4 2019 identified the 13 most significant providers and researched, analyzed and scored them. According to Forrester, Matrix42 supplements its strong management capabilities with endpoint security. UEM is part of Matrix42’s larger Workspace Management suite.

“The use of mobile technologies has matured significantly in European companies in recent years. While risk mitigation and cost management were the key drivers of inventions earlier before, the focus has shifted significantly towards increasing productivity and employee experience. Nevertheless, IT security remains a top priority for IT managers. Especially User and Environmental Behavior Analysis (UEBA) in the context of data security will be the strongest drivers in 2020. In this environment understanding the context and the scenario is key to success – this is where UEM becomes crucial” says Fabian Henzler, VP Product Strategy at Matrix42.

Matrix42 points out that business needs to deploy smart devices, apps, and more without neglecting that these imply an issue regarding security and compliance. According to Matrix42, switching to an UEM solution, which manages both – mobile and traditional clients – is a crucial step for most of European companies, combining performance and security.  Cloud transformation, service management and a fully automated Configuration Management Database (CMDB) will increasingly be crucial for large and mid-sized companies.

The Forrester Wave Methodology

The Forrester Wave™ is a guide for buyers considering their purchasing options in a technology marketplace.

This Forrester Wave™ evaluated vendors against 23 criteria, which were grouped into three high-level categories current offering, strategy and market presence.  Forrester included 13 vendors in the assessment.  Each of the vendors meets revenue and general availability requirements. Evaluated vendors have at least $15 million in annual revenue from the UEM product. The product had to be generally available on October 1, 2019. Vendors moreover needed to have the ability to provide customer references. Forrester conducted 30-minute phone calls with each customer reference supplied.
