Global appointment and local hires signal strong momentum for Matrix42 in Australia

Workspace management specialist Matrix42 is on a growth trajectory after recently announcing the appointment of Philippe Ortodoro as Senior Vice President of Global Sales amongst a raft of new hires in Sydney. In his role as an innovative leader and strategic problem solver, Mr. Ortodoro will be responsible to drive sales and grow revenues worldwide.  Locally led by Country Manager, Michael Alf, Matrix42 has witnessed significant momentum since the acquisition of Silverback, an Australian enterprise mobility management (EMM) vendor back in late 2014. Alf says that the company is placing a heightened focus on growing Matrix42’s development and sales teams, bringing in three new developers and two salespersons to the Sydney-based APAC headquarters, which services a global customer base. Alf is committed to investing in new hires and building out the current team of 19 employees to accelerate business growth in Australia. “Frost & Sullivan’s recent Australian Mobile Device Management report forecasted a compound annual growth rate of 20% from 2014 to 2021. This reinforces the increasing demand companies are placing on sophisticated technological requirements for an efficient end to end EMM solution. But not only EMM is of growing relevance, today we are in the mobile and cloud era and therefore concepts like Identity & Access Management (IDaaS) is highly relevant. Matrix42 brings those areas and solutions together supported by an expanding local team with key hires, local expertise and specialist skills”, said Alf. “We invest heavily in our people and in turn we are able to build incredibly close knit teams that are really driving us ahead in the Australian market,” added Alf. Matrix42 is already setting ambitious targets of double digit growth to its Australian sales and revenue with Alf keen to invest more in expanding its software mobility teams. “Our customers want highly adaptable products that keep pace with their mobility requirements; internally it’s a natural response so we can keep track of these demands,” says Alf. The brand’s customers are at the forefront of their respective industries spanning finance, public sector and retail and includes names like CBA, Mirvac and Scentre Group (part of Westfield Group). Having secured some of Australia’s biggest names to its roster, Matrix42 plans to continue to invest and transform its Sydney office into a centre of excellence.
