New IT Appliance by Matrix42 Streamlines IT Service Management

Service management leader makes self serve “IT-Commerce” even easier and more accessible with a ready-to-deploy appliance

20 Apr 2010

Las Vegas, MMS 2010 – April 20, 2010 – Service management leader Matrix42 (www.matrix42.com) has taken a bold step into the IT market with the announcement of a new appliance to streamline IT service management and client lifecycle management with a completely self-contained and pre-configured service catalog.

Matrix42 is premiering the new appliance in booth #637 at the Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) in Las Vegas this week.

“All-in-one appliances offer SMB and SME organizations cost–effective and streamlined IT management without the need to purchase, integrate and maintain additional IT infrastructure,” said Shane Eliason, President, Matrix42 USA. “Matrix42 is driving the charge to easy-to-use self-serve ‘IT-Commerce,’ and the Service Store Appliance delivers perfectly on our mission to make IT easier to manage, less expensive, and more efficient for customers to access and use.”

The recent acquisition of appliance vendor KACE by Dell Computer underscores the high value and need for this market segment; however KACE’s further integration into the Dell channel paves the way for Matrix42 to lead out in providing its award-winning software and strategy to the broader market, company executives said.

“From our perspective, Matrix42 and this new appliance answer the critical needs of a global market that includes hundreds of thousands of companies ranging from approximately 100 employees up through the SME companies of 2,000 users or more,” said Dwain Kinghorn, a lead Partner for SageCreek Partners who is participating in Matrix42’s MMS announcement this week.
