A: Empirum is a software product suite from matrix42, which contain all the requirements needed for “Total PC Lifecycle Management”.

Q: What are the advantages of the OS Installer, in comparison to other similar products from your competitors?
A: Empirum OS Installer allows the installation of operating system via unattended routine, via PXE, CD or boot disk. The automatic hardware detection of network, graphics, sound card and other drivers makes it easy to use even in heterogeneous environments. The necessary drivers are loaded automatically during the operating system installation. Empirum also supports the installation of operating systems with images.

Q: What information can be inventoried with Empirum Inventory?
A: Empirum Inventory allows for the inventorying of all information on a client/server which can be accessed via DMI and WMI, their hardware and system configuration, and contains a proactive system for monitoring via Inventory History with alarm function, as well as centralized license management.

Q: Can Empirum Inventory detect undesired applications?
A: Yes, Empirum Inventory has powerful functions which allow for the detection of undesired or illegal programs within your network, even if they have been renamed. Empirum Inventory will report their presence to the Administrator via the alarm function.

Q: Which operating systems can be monitored with Empirum Inventory?
A: Empirum Inventory supports the Microsoft operating systems Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Vista as well as Linux Red Hat and Suse, Sun Solaris and operating systems developed for mobile devices: Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm-OS.

Q: What are the advantages of Empirum Software Management in comparison to other similar products from your competitors?
A: Empirum Software Management unifies the automatic software distribution, both centralized and decentralized, with the central administration of operating system updates. Together with a powerful script language for creating software packages, you have a highly effective tool for making sure that the applications operating systems and the security within your company are up to date.

Q: What are the functions contained in Empirum Personal Backup?
A: Empirum Personal Backup allows for the backup and the restoration of all system and user-related data and settings in the operating system and applications.  This data can then be restored after a critical failure or ported to other operating system versions. This eliminates the tedious and time-costly user configuration after the migration of hardware. No matter if it’s because of a system crash or because of a new hardware platform, Empirum Personal Backup restores all necessary data and settings in the shortest time.

Q: What are the advantages of Empirum Remote Control compared to other similar products?
A: Empirum brings together the security of 128-bit encryption, ADS access rights and One-Session-Keys with high flexibility and performance. This makes it possible to show only the desired application to the support employees, to allow or deny control, and to transfer files in both directions via Drag & Drop capability. The opposing station has the capability of scaling the display window and reversing to show the remote desktop.  An auditing function or a recording of the session is also available (e.g. for training or quality control purposes).
