Cost-Benefit-Analysis: Business Case
The Business Case has been created based on a detailed survey of 100 companies which have already been using Empirum. For each company, the appropriate contact person gave precise data regarding Return of Investment, Process Optimizations and required resources. The 100 international companies and official institutions participating in the survey reflect the unique branch-independence and scalability of Empirum. Thus, companies with an installed base of 100 to 150,000 systems were included in this survey. The same principles of scalability were used for the administered software applications (number of applications 24 to 800).
The reasons for using Empirum are clearly evident. Via the high degree of automation of IT processes, massive scale effects are generated. These can be measured temporally as well as financially, and are taken into consideration in detail in the following study.
It is noted that 48.2 of the surveyed companies already had an IT Lifecycle Management Software product in use, and with the migration to Empirum, they were able to achieve additional cost savings. The fundamental technical reason for selecting Empirum was the functionality delivered. Thus, the survey reflects this as the “first reason for purchase”, followed by product ease of use (usability).
