Originally founded in 1992 as Intelligent Software Management GmbH (ISM), the company provided systems management consulting services. ISM developed customer-specific software solutions based on industry standards and third party solutions. In 1998, driven by customer demand, the company’s IT experts began to develop and refine the Empirum software solution. In 2000, the software company was branded matrix42. In 2004 matrix42 USA was incorporated in Atlanta, GA as the base of operations for offering these advanced technology products and services in the US, North and South America.
